So you ask, "How can I possibly complete an assessment to address sexuality and intimacy?" What if you want to learn more on CPT codes you can use, or maybe some creative ideas on bringing up the topic? Well my friends, here are some resources that are available out there. Research shows that having the whole interdisciplinary team helps with everyone being on the same page and all know the game plan for your clients. Working together opens the conversation to advocate for your client, and open minds of others on the interdisciplinary team. Remember, it take a village to help our clients. The Occupational Performance Inventory of Sexuality and Intimacy (OPISI). This ASSessment was created by occupational therapists for occupational therapists. This was created as a screening tool, assess, and measure performance related to the complex occupational nature of sexuality and intimacy. Are in a need of a model on how to make your sessions flow when addressing sexuality and intimacy. First there was the PLISSIT model, and now there is the EX-PLISSIT model. The EX means "extended".
